The historic Ryan House has been sold.
Alfred Kopczyk, a professional engineer and a member of the Dubuque Old House Enthusiasts, has purchased the property from the Dubuque County Historical Society, and plans to return the property to a single-family home. He receives the deed after certain improvements are made, according to Jerry Enzler, executive director of the Historical Society. The organization has entered into an restoration agreement with Kopczyk.
The residence is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
