"The Daily Show" Exposes Glenn Beck's Flip-Flop on Health Care

Thought I'd share with ya'll!

"The Daily Show" Exposes Glenn Beck's Flip-Flop on Health Care: "195847

Kudos to Jon Stewart and the gang for the "gotcha!" on Glenn Beck's health care position.

Here is what Beck had to say about health care after a botched surgery while he was still at CNN in January 2008: "I'm just at home and I'm recovering from some surgery that was, uh, scheduled and then went horribly awry....It was one of the most eye-opening experiences of my life to receive health care in the United States. This is one of the hospitals where the president of G.E. is going. If they don't care about the president of G.E., do you really think they care about schlubs that are just working stiffs?"

That was part of a series on Beck did on health care, back when his show was on CNN Headline News; the series featured headlines such as "Medical Madness" and "Health Care: Critical Condition." Here's a quote promoting it: "A personal voyage through the nightmare that is our health care system." And here's another quote from Beck: "Getting well in this country could actually almost kill you."

Fast-forward a few months to June 2008. Beck is on Fox News: "Americas already has the best health care in the world. We do take care of the sick." And here's what he said in May of this year: "You're about to lose the best health care system in the world."

"The Daily Show" had to dig, and now Beck's reversal is on the record. See it all, above.
